This print was started as soon as I heard that our neighbours Sue & Dave Tipple were about to move to Canada, they live two doors away, a nicer couple one could never meet.

So the picture, 2 dogs, starting to shred a blanket or something just in front of Sue who is carrying two suitcases, Dave is just coming out the door, Juillette (our next door neighbour) waves goodbye, two pigeons are flying West to Canada, whilst one flies East to settle in Scarborough. The sign on the front of the stone pillar is in inverted T for Tipple with the date that I completed the plate.

Moving forward

W 180 x D 275mm

Edition of 25 with 2 artist's proofs.

Printed on Hanemuhle etching 140 Lbs. Not

I had visited Eden camp the 2nd world War Museum near Malton in North Yorkshire and whilst there saw this picture of four  men all carrying these long poles with dome shaped inverted buckets dangling from them. The caption read 'Practice for extinguishing fire bombs', here in my picture two of them are 'Moving forward' for what reason we are not sure. Could be to capture something, first idea being some ferocious beast, perhaps not
