The Columbian move

Monday, 19 February 2018 16:38

The press has been stood infant of the doors for a couple of years now,

so as I need to make more space, it’s time to move,

which means dismantling the whole press into it’s component parts.

Moving the frame isn’t the easiest of tasks, but with the help of a large crow bar ( 5 foot long)

and a bit of elbow grease she was moved into the new corner position.

Then it’s just a reversal of the previous process and putting her back together.

Taking the press apart, carriage on the floor, the bed has been removed,

also the rounce, tympan. As she’s just moving 6 feet there is no need to take off all the other bits

as it will be gentle move.
