Staithes is a small fishing village on the North East Coast beyond Whitby, famous for an artists colony at the turn of the 19th century called 'The Staithes Group of Artists'. The fishermens cottages are all huddled together against the cliff face. I really like the village and have done several pictures there ( all different views)
