 This etching was part of a commission from Beverley Art Gallery, they asked me to look through their permanent collection and either re interpret an exisiting image, or using the title from one of their pictures to design a new image. This particular picture copied the title from a Fred Elwell R.A. picture of the same title, his picture shows the interior of Beverley Minster . For my picture I jopined an afternoon tour of the Minster roof space, fascinating, at one point I was allowed to exit via a small door onto the roof of the building, which is where my picture shows.
